Leyenda's Note: These transcriptions are for standard Baroque tuning, with
bass string tuning adjusted as needed. Some pieces are also suitable for
8 or 10-string guitar. The best result will be achieved if played on the
Alto-guitar (Altgitarren), which is tuned a minor third higher than the
standard tuning.

Söllscher's
Bach Lute Suite aside, this album was considered by many (including
non-guitarists) to be one of the best Bach guitar recordings. It's certainly my
favorite. Söllscher's
mastery performance was further enhanced by the unique sound of his
alto-guitar with extended bass strings. |
